2. Enhance Your Culture
You need to create your organization’s identity, other your employees will create it themselves and you will have little control over it. Identity is created through culture. If you have the right culture in place, you can use it to attract the right employees who value the culture you have created. You may already have a culture in place, but it’s about enhancing it to take it to the next level.
Make the application process simple. This doesn’t mean you have to leave out important questions, just make sure you’re asking the right questions in a succinct manner. Many people will be put off by tedious or long-winded applications.
4. Embrace Coaching
By 2021, Millennials will make up half of the workforce. If you’re not working to attract Millennials, then your recruiting strategy is going nowhere. One way to attract them in to build a strong coaching culture. There have been a number of studies that show Millennials are interested in opportunity, they want to know they have the ability to advance. Help them learn and grow and you’ll attract and keep them.
5. Go After Passive Candidates
A passive candidate is someone who is not actively looking for a job, but would consider and offer it it came their way. Currently, passive candidates make up 75% of potential candidates. They won’t see the job ad on the job board you posted on. To reach these candidates, your best bet is social media.
